The game began with Ghana taking the lead through an early penalty converted calmly by Ayew. However, CAR's Louis Mafouta responded with two quick goals, capitalizing on Ghana's defensive lapses. Mafouta completed his hat-trick with a stunning free-kick late in the game, but it wasn't enough to secure a draw for CAR.

Ghana's Issahaku Fatawu also found the net, contributing to the team's effort. Despite a fierce challenge from CAR, the Black Stars held their ground, thanks to Ayew's pivotal performance. His final goal, following a saved shot from Mohammed Kudus, sealed the victory.

With this win, Ghana climbs to the top of the table with nine points from four games. Madagascar and Comoros follow with six points each from three games. Mali sits fourth with four points from three games, and CAR has four points from four games. Chad remains at the bottom with zero points from three games

This victory marks Ghana's second consecutive win after their 1-2 victory against Mali in Bamako and solidifies their strong performance in Kumasi, where they have now played 24 games, winning 18 and drawing six.
